The small port town of Göcek is located in the Aegean region of Turkey, around 30 kilometers northwest of Fethiye and 20 kilometers southeast of Ortaca. Inhabited since ancient times, today the town is home to six impressive marinas and has become a popular destination for boating and yachting enthusiasts from around the world.

While visiting Göcek, be sure to set aside plenty of time to explore the 12 islands and various coves that are located throughout its large, protected bay. It also boasts every amenity a seafaring traveler could ask for, including a health club, a number of excellent restaurants and top notch medical care, yet the town has managed to retain an air of peace and quiet despite its popularity. In addition, a large number of pristine beaches allow visitors to enjoy the clear blue water of the Mediterranean in relative privacy, especially those who are willing to travel a short distance from the town.
