The port town of Girne, also known today as Kyrenia, is located in the Mediterranean Sea on the northern coast of the island of Cyprus, which has been under Turkish rule since 1974. Settlement here can be traced all the way back to the 12th century BCE, but today the area is quite popular among traditional tourists, as well as with boating and yachting enthusiasts from all over the world.

The historic harbor of Girne boasts a magnificent castle, which has stood sentry over the city since the 16th century. Today, the harbor is home to a wide variety of pleasure craft during the summer months, thanks to the warm, sunny climate and wide variety of excellent dining and shopping opportunities that line the ancient waterfront. In addition, visitors will enjoy easy access to the many pristine beaches of northern Cyprus, while the fishing opportunities here are second to none.
