The stunning city of Fethiye can be found in the Mediterranean Sea on the Gulf of Fethiye in the Aegean region of Turkey, around 200 kilometers southwest of Antalya and just over 330 kilometers southeast of Izmir. The modern city lies in the footprint of the ancient city of Telmessos, which can be traced back to the 5th century BCE and has ties to Alexander the Great.

Today, Fethiye is located on the scenic Turkish Riviera and has become a popular tourist destination for seafaring travelers, thanks to its excellent climate, natural beauty and laid-back atmosphere. In addition, boating enthusiasts enjoy exploring the many other cities in the region, most of which boast a number of attractions. This includes sites that mark the locations of two of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, so be sure to venture inland for some sightseeing as well while visiting Fethiye!
