Yacht charter in Tjörn / Wallhamn (Sweden)

The port of Wallhamn is located on the Swedish island of Tjörn, just north of Göteborg. The harbor is on the sheltered Eastern side of the island not far from the Tjörn Bridge. The port specializes in the import of automobiles, but is also very active with pleasure yachtsmen . Life centers on the harbor and all things waterborne. Here you may overwinter your yacht for very reasonable prices, or have repairs or even custom modifications done by reputable and skilled craftsmen.

Mount Do is the center of the island and the hiking trails can be spectacular. You can even rent spikes and ice climbing gear in the winter. The summer is the most popular time to visit however as the swimming and beaches are the main attractions. Be sure to pay a visit to the Nordic Watercolor Museum (just a short drive away) with any trip to the island.
