The charming seaside town of Skärhamn is situated on the island of Tjorn in southwestern Sweden on the North Sea, around 65 kilometers northeast of Goteborg and 115 kilometers south of Lysekil in Vastra Gotaland County. Today, Skärhamn is a popular summer tourist destination for savvy boating and yachting enthusiasts from around the world, thanks in part to its serene natural beauty and excellent local seafood. While visiting, also consider venturing inland at least long enough to tour the Nordic Watercolour Museum, which is situated on the water and boasts magnificent works from a wide variety of respected masters.
