The historic fishing village of Mollösund can be found on the southwestern end of the Orust Municipality, which lies in the outer archipelago of Sweden’s western coast. Settled since the 16th century, today the area is a popular tourist destination among boating and yachting enthusiasts from around the world, thanks to its rich cultural heritage and simple beauty.

Mollösund is an excellent base from which to explore the many outlying islands along the coast, including Mollon and Tjorn. In addition, the marina here boasts all the necessary amenities and is conveniently situated close to the heart of town. Although commercial fishing has dwindled in modern times, visitors will thrill to the wide variety of water sports that can be found in the area, including swimming, water skiing, diving and sailing. Be sure to sample the local fish soup, a Mollösund tradition, and take advantage of the guest berths that are available for seafaring visitors.
