The port town of Karlshamn can be found in southern Sweden’s Blekinge province, near the Baltic Sea, just over 60 kilometers west of Karlskrona and 126 kilometers northeast from Simrishamn. It has served as an important centre for the region’s thriving fishing industry ever since the late 15th century, but today the town is also a popular destination for boating and yachting enthusiasts, thanks to its rich cultural heritage and many opportunities for maritime travelers to experience the thrill of discovery.

The coastline around Karlshamn is dramatic, with impressive rocky crags jutting from the shore that have stood sentry for centuries. It is also famous for its high-quality salmon fisheries, as well as its close proximity to the stunningly beautiful Hällaryd archipelago. The scenic island of Tärnö is one of the most popular destinations for visitors to the area, thanks in part to its charming, undeveloped atmosphere and picturesque lighthouses.
