The community of Eriksberg can be found in the Lundby district of Hsingen Island in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. A former major shipbuilding centre, the area lies around 10 kilometers west of the city’s centre and 20 kilometers east of Öckerö.

Today, an enormous gantry crane that is inscribed with the community’s name is the only remaining vestige of its industrial past. To commemorate Eriksburg’s rich history, the 80-meter landmark was converted into a tourist attraction in the early 1990s, complete with an elevator and observation terrace. Over the years, it has become a popular welcoming site for seafaring travelers who are making their way up the Göta River. In addition, the old shipyard located in Eriksburg is quite impressive, while the famed East India Company’s museum is an excellent place for boating and yachting enthusiasts to learn about the area’s extensive naval and maritime history.
