Looking out over the Balearic Sea on the Southeast coast of Spain you will find the marvellous city of Valencia. Formerly an industrial city, since the mid 1990s the city has undergone a transformation expanding both cultural and tourism sites. As the city has been occupied since Roman times there is a rich monumental heritage including the World Heritage Site of Llotja de la Seda.

The City of Arts and Sciences is a landmark in Valencia and this futuristic museum compound is a must see for any visitor (or resident!). The city is also known for its convention centers and five star hotels. Las Fallas is a world famous festival held in March each year and draws many people to witness the events and artistic creations. Not to be outdone, the city’s gastronomy is well known and the culinary dish called paella, which is traditional to the area, is also central to the festival.
