The stunning port town of Dénia is located on the Mediterranean Sea in the Alicante province of Spain, halfway between the cities of Valencia and Alicante, close to the town of Xàbia or Javea, which is also home to a popular resort. Dénia lies near the beginning of the Costa Blanca, or ‘white coast,’ which spans more than 200 kilometers of scenic Spanish coastline and has grown to become quite popular among tourists in modern times.

Seafaring travelers will delight in the scenic harbor at Dénia, which is central to the region’s economy and regularly plays host to a large number of tourist vessels, fishing crafts and ferries. For the adventure-minded, this is an excellent place to dive, kayak, sail, snorkel or fish. In addition, the town itself boasts a magnificent, 11th century castle overlooking the sea and several museums, along with excellent shopping and dining opportunities.
