The resort town of Cala d’Or is made up of three principal areas and is located in the midst of the Mediterranean Sea on the eastern coast of Majorca, which is the largest island belonging to Spain. The gorgeous sandy beaches and the lively town center here are bustling with activity during the summer months, thanks to the world-class marina and many restaurants, shops and bars.

Cala d’Or lies just over an hour from the capital city of Palma, but seafaring travelers should also consider making the short trip to the quaint fishing village of Porto Petro. The marina area boasts the best shelter from storms on the entire island and is renowned for having excellent amenities and a close proximity to town life. Despite its popularity, Cala d’Or has managed to avoid drawing too much attention from tourists and therefore maintains an air of exclusivity and a feeling of being ‘off the beaten path.’
