The city of Barcelona is located in Spain on the sunny Mediterranean coast, near the rivers Besos and Llobregat. The city is rimmed on the western side by the Serra de Collserola mountain range, which separates it from the Valles basin. As the second largest city in the entire country, it is a popular tourist destination thanks to its rich history and warm climate with low humidity.

The ports in Barcelona are conveniently located at the start of the city’s most well known street, La Rambla, which will take you directly to the city’s bustling centre. Today one of the largest container ports in Europe, the Port of Barcelona has a history that dates back more than 2000 years, but is nonetheless quite modern. The old port area is known as Port Vell, which boasts a magnificent commercial mall known as the Maremagnum. Here, seafaring and land-roving travelers alike can tour the largest aquarium in Europe, an IMAX cinema and a standard multiplex cinema, in addition to a variety of other shopping and dining opportunities
