The volcanic island of Lanzarote enjoys warm weather throughout the year. Timanfaya National Park and the Chinijo Archipelago Nature Reserve are an inland refuge for many species of marine birds. You can play golf amidst ancient lava flows; go diving on the island's beautiful sea bed, deep sea fishing and even surfing in what are considered to be some of the best in Europe. The quickest way to get around inland is to hire a car - the longest distance between any two points is only 71 kilometers, cruising a yacht around the islands is likely to be the most enjoyable
