Part of the Lesser Antilles island chain, the island country of St. Lucia is also part of the Windward Islands and is situated in the eastern section of the Caribbean Sea near the Atlantic Ocean, northeast of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, south of Martinique and northwest of Barbados. It is a volcanic island that enjoys excellent weather nearly all year long, making it a popular tourist destination for boating and yachting enthusiasts from around the world. In addition, the pristine landscape, clear waters and pristine beaches make St. Lucia a sea lover’s paradise.

While visiting, be sure to check out the sulfur springs volcano, as well as the Pitons, which are two volcanic plugs that rise dramatically from the sea along the coastline near the towns of Soufriere and Choiseul on the island’s southwestern edge. In addition, the towns of Marigot Bay and Gross Islet boast excellent marinas and old village centres.
