The town of Kuah is part of the Langkawi, an archipelago of around 100 islands that lies in the Andaman Sea, around 30 kilometers from northwestern Malaysia. It is located in the state of Kedah, which also happens to be situated quite close to Thailand. Inhabited since ancient times, today the town is a popular tourist destination for boating and yachting enthusiasts from around the world, thanks in part to it stunning beauty and modern vibe.

Maritime travelers will enjoy the many excellent seafood restaurants located in Kuah, as well as a wide variety of other remarkable fine dining and shopping opportunities. As you approach the town by sea, it is hard to miss the impressive, 12-meter high eagle statue that greets visitors, seemingly perched on the rocks along the sea. Due to its excellent amenities, Kuah is an excellent base from which to explore the many surrounding islands of the archipelago.
