The port town of Santo Stefano al Mare is situated in the Liguria region of northwestern Italy, along the coast of the Riviera di Ponente, which is a geographical region that extends from Genoa 130 miles to the northeast, all the way to the French border, which is around 45 kilometers to the southwest. The entire area features large, pristine beaches, many of which have received the Blue Flag for cleanliness.


Also of note, the Marina Aregai in Santo Stefano al Mare received a Blue Flag in 2006 for its excellent amenities, while the fantastic climate here encourages seafaring travelers to come almost any time of the year. Inhabited since ancient times, today the area is a popular destination for boating and yachting enthusiasts from around the world, thanks to its stunning natural beauty and direct access to a large number of attractions.
