Here, visitors can see the Aril River, which is one of the shortest rivers on earth at only 175 meters. Inhabited since ancient times, today the region is a popular tourist destination for boating and yachting enthusiasts, thanks to the rich cultural heritage, historical ruins, sulfer springs and many water sports that can be found throughout the area.

The small fishing village of Cassone boasts narrow streets throughout the well-preserved old town portion, as well as a nice harbor with a number of fine restaurants, shops and cafes that are sure to delight. In addition, this is an excellent base from which to explore the entire region, so be sure to plan time to visit a few of the many other towns situated around the lake.
