The charming port town of Kinsale is located in southern Ireland’s famed County Cork at the mouth of the Bandon River, around 30 kilometers northeast of Courtmachsherry and 40 kilometers southwest of Cobh. Founded in the early 17th century, the town is situated close to the Old Head of Kinsale, which boasts a picturesque 17th century lighthouse and respected golf course.

Today, the area is a popular destination for both traditional and seafaring travelers, thanks to its rich cultural history, excellent restaurants and comfortable natural harbor. It is also an important centre for the region’s fishing industry, as well as a world-renowned destination for sailing enthusiasts. Adventuresome travelers can also find a variety of other water sports here, including dolphin and whale watching tours and deep-sea fishing. The town itself is also worth exploring, with a variety of bustling, winding streets and historical buildings that still house a variety of locally owned businesses and boutiques.
