Situated in the southeastern part of the Caribbean Sea, Grenada is a country composed of the main island of Grenada and six other, smaller islands. It is also recognized as the “Island of Spice” because it is one of the largest exporters of mace and nutmeg in the whole world. The islands are blessed with exceptionally rich soil because of their volcanic origin.

The main harbor of the country is located in the capital city of St. George’s. It plays a significant role in the tourism industry of the country which has experienced a dramatic increase due to the construction of a large boulevard and cruise ship wharf.

The fast ferry service carries passengers between Grenada, Trinidad, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Barbados. International flights also bring passengers to other Caribbean Islands, Europe and the United States.
