The picturesque resort town of Rheinsberg lies in the county of Ostprignitz-Ruppin in northeastern Germany, around 340 kilometers southeast of Kiel and 418 kilometers southeast of Flensburg. It is situated in the midst of the Rheinberger lake area, which is comprised of a large number of small and large bodies of water that intertwine throughout the countryside.
