The port town of Saint Mandrier is situated in the Var department of southern France on the peninsula of Saint-Mandrier, around 18 kilometers south of Toulon and 70 kilometers southeast of Marseille. Located at the southern end of Toulon’s smaller harbour, Saint Mandrier has been inhabited since ancient times and was once three separate islands that have slowly drifted together over the millennia.

Today, Saint Mandrier has become a popular destination for maritime travelers from around the world, thanks in part to its pristine beaches, fantastic climate and rich history. Also, a wide variety of water sports are available in the area, including swimming, diving, sailing and snorkeling. While visiting, be sure to venture inland long enough to sample a variety of the magnificent local cuisine and excellent shopping opportunities, which are world-renowned. In addition, many of the beaches here have been awarded the Blue Flag for cleanliness.
