The thriving coastal resort city of Mariehamn is situated in the Aland archipelago, which is a self-governing region of Finland, around 320 kilometers west of Helsinki and 160 kilometers northeast of Stockholm. The city was officially founded in the late 1800s, and has been a thriving shipping and fishing centre ever since.


In modern times, Mariehamn has also become a popular tourist destination for boating and yachting enthusiasts from around the world, thanks to its rich culture, many attractions and excellent amenities.
