The port town of Rovinj lies on the northwestern coast of Croatia’s Iberian Peninsula on the Adriatic Sea, around 130 kilometers south of Trieste and 100 kilometers west of Cres. Today, the ancient settlement has become a popular tourist destination, especially among savvy boating and yachting enthusiasts from around the world, thanks in part to its excellent Mediterranean climate and stunning natural beauty.

While visiting Rovinj, be sure to check out the many smaller islets and coves dotting the coastline throughout the region, as well as the nature preserves and fine swimming beaches that can be found here. Also of note, the town has a strong resort feel that has encouraged the growth of a thriving nightlife, including a number of open air celebrations during the summer months that boast excellent food, live music and fireworks. In addition, a wide variety of fine shopping can be found on Carrera Street.
