The stunningly beautiful Croatian island of Lošinj is located in the Cres- Lošinj archipelago in the northern portion of the Adriatic Sea, around 35 kilometers southeast of Cres and 100 kilometers southeast of Medulin. It lies in the Kvarner Gulf, which is a bay that is located between the Istrian peninsula and the coast of northern Croatia, and is situated south of the city of Rijeka.

A number of charming villages can be found on the island, including the stunningly beautiful towns of Veli Lošinj and Mali Lošinj, which are only around 5 kilometers apart. Both of the towns boast excellent marinas and are situated in a protected part of the bay. The region enjoys a favorable climate, and these two cities are no exception, thanks in part to their location on the sunny, northern side of the island. Today, the island of Lošinj is a popular base from which to explore the many surrounding islands, as well as the coast of both Croatia and Italy.
